Assessments

At Clear View Education we offer two types of assessments – Educational Assessment and Pre-diagnostic Assessment:

Educational Assessment

An Educational Assessment looks at your child’s current educational strengths and difficulties in either literacy or maths.

Process

  • An initial meeting to discuss the child’s background history and why you feel an assessment would be beneficial.
  • Two 1 hour sessions for your child at our hub to complete tests and observations to evaluate their learning profile.
  • A full written report with feedback. The report will outline your child’s strengths and difficulties and will include recommendations for future learning including classroom strategies and ideas for support at home.

The cost for an Educational Assessment is £225.

Pre-Diagnostic Assessment

A Pre-Diagnostic Assessment is useful if you (or your child’s school) feel that your child may have a specific learning difficulty but you want further information and advice before committing to the process of a full diagnostic assessment.

Process

  • An initial meeting to discuss the child’s background history and why you feel an assessment would be beneficial.
  • Background information gathering including school reports, assessment scores and any previous specialist reports.
  • Four 1 hour sessions for your child at our hub to fully evaluate their profile and current challenges. These sessions are key to understanding the child’s view of their strengths and difficulties and allow them to add their voice to the assessment process.

The cost for a Pre-Diagnostic Assessment is £325.
